Poland is among only four EU member states that posted growth in the first quarter of 2020, the Development Ministry said in a Friday comment to preliminary data published by the EU’s statistical agency Eurostat.

Poland’s exports went up by 0.2 percent year on year in the first three months of 2020, the ministry said.

Exports of EU goods to the rest of the world went down by 10.2 percent year on year, to EUR 167.4 bln, in March, while imports decreased by 12.2 percent, to EUR 145.2 bln, as the coronavirus epidemic crippled the bloc’s economy.
